The Keeper Of The List Cage - Former property of Master Tyki, Currently property of Master Lavi

~Entry two and a half~

Thu Jun 25, 2009, 3:04 PM
((This is going to be an rp plot, it's really... just jumping out of the blue because Rao and I are retarded and started digging up dates to fit the universe of DGM in. And found this. NOW GET YOUR LAZY ASSES AND PREPARE FOR A MISSION IN FRANCE PEOPLE <3 Though Roron will have to bump into someone first to pass the info anyway... well, just see how it rolls. Short journal for once ))

Roron was, as usual, in Lavi's room. At the very moment, he was putting a book he just finished reading on its right place in one of the piles, smiling faintly at the order he brought to this place. Looking around, his eyes landed on a larger piece of lower quality paper that he was sure wasn't there when he cleaned the last time.. Walking over to the bed where the item was laying innocently, he picked it up and smoothened the pages.

It was a newspaper. One Lavi probably got when he was out on some errand for Bookman earlier that day, dropping the newspaper in the room once he was back but never bothering to read. Roron couldn't blame the man, he had enough reading as it was... but it would be nice to be up-to-date with what was going out outside the walls of the Order.

First page were usual local events. But it was what was on the second one that caught his interest.

[link]CARNOT ASSASSINATED

Yesterday, shortly after midnight, President of France Marie François Sadi Carnot died from stab wounds. He has been attacked by an Italian anarchist Sante Geronimo Caserio after delivering a speech at a public banquet at Lyon, in which he appeared to imply that he would not seek re-election despite the great popularity and trust of people. Funeral ceremony took place at Panthéon, gathering crowds that have long not been seen. The people of France grieve the loss of their prized leader. New president has yet to be elected, the Government announced however that the election will take place sooner though, because of the terrible and unexpected misfortune.

Rest of the article that took up entire big column of text consisted mainly of details of the man's achievements, influence on the politics of France and international relations, mainly between the said country and Russia. But it was too complex for Roron right now, and instead, something else about it kept nagging at the back of his head. Maybe he was looking into it too deeply, but the combination of word "grief" with "gathering crowds" and what he heard some finders talk about in the cafeteria a while back - something about attempt of assassination at some politician which Order suspected might have been the plan of Noah - made him fold the newspaper and dash out of the room, not even bothering to put his shoes on. He wanted to find Master Lavi, or just anyone else. He might be wrong but it might be a clue. And if it was one...

Well let's just hope he bums into someone soon.

*Wandering down the halls of the Order, Aileen seemed to be lost in another time again...but at least by the inside of the building she could tell it was somewhat the 19th century. This time was familiar to her, unlike the 20th century and so on...all of those were strange. Walking around without looking ahead, she felt a slight bump in front of her, then glancing down at a silver-haired boy.*

Oh, hello there...I'm sorry I wasn't looking where I was going.

*She gave the boy a kind smile, bowing apologetically*

    ((ooc: durhur, have a wall))

[The boy stirred and turned around rather a bit nervously. His eyes landed on the stranger and he eyed her warily, frowning. No name... he sensed no name. Odd... she looked human though. Why didn't she have a name...? He returned the bow with one of his own, keeping silent for now though. She made him think of Miranda Lotto a bit, but one never knew... He stared at her questioningly, awaiting an introduction.]
    :iconaileen-rozen:
My name is Aileen Rozen, but you can call me Aileen. Do you have a name?

*She glanced at the boy, pulling the red bangs from her face behind her ear, the smile still on her face*
    :iconcell-list-keeper:
[He nodded in affirmation, eyes still locked on her with a bit of suspicion. Road smiled a lot too.]

    Roron~~...

Nice to meet you, Roron. Can you tell me where I am?
